About Me

I am a dementia interventionist. My goal is to compassionately and effectively, through evidence-based approaches, help individuals with dementia and their caregivers/loved ones.

I am a Counseling Psychologist and Geropsychologist licensed in both Massachusetts and Pennsylvania.

I currently work as an Associate Psychologist within the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) program at the 221 Longwood Avenue Outpatient Psychiatry clinic of Brigham & Women’s Hospital (BWH). Here, I am an Instructor at Harvard Medical School, the Associate Director of Psychology Education, and co-director of the Geropsychiatry Speciality Clinic.

With regards to training, I graduated from Lehigh University with my PhD in Counseling Psychology. My clinical training included a post-doctoral fellowship in Geropsychology at the Boston VA and a pre-doctoral internship at the Bay Pines VA, with a focus in Geropsychology and Neuropsychology. I also worked as a Behavior Specialist and Consultant in long term care facilities for many years. I have specialized training in evidenced-based treatment, specifically Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

I focus much of my clinical work in the specialty area of geropsychology and dementia care.
